For Our Patients...
Our therapists are passionate about helping patients meet their recover goals.  Staying current with industry standards and new rehabilitation approaches is paramount.  Many of our therapists hold one or more advanced certifications in their respective disciplines  Furthermore, our clinics have high-standard and specialty rehabilitation equipment that allows our patients to recover fully and safely.

Depending on your diagnosis, your physician may prescribe specialty rehabilitation services to aid in your recovery.  We are pleased to offer a variety of specialty services for physical, occupational, and speech therapies, from lymphedema management to vestibular rehabilitation.  We're here for you at every step of your journey.

Physical Therapy:
Big Stone's Physical Therapies offers physical therapy services to help people of all ages restore musculoskeletal function, mobility, and strength following illness, injury, or surgery.  Our physical therapists work together with a patient's physician to develop an individualize plan of care that may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional training.

• Improve:  Strength, mobility, balance, and activity tolerance
• Reduce:  Pain and fall risk
• Assistive device recommendations and training
  

Occupational Therapy:
When an individual is in pain or their mechanics just aren't working the way they should be, the goal is always to get back to the way things should be.  By focusing on people as individuals, we succeed in getting patients to resume a healthy, active lifestyle.

• Improve ease of daily activities:  dressing, bathing, meal preparation, and housekeeping
• Improve hand function for greater ease with fine motor control (buttoning, picking up objects, sewing, etc.)
• Adaptive equipment training to promote your highest level of independence
• Wheelchair and powered mobility assessments and training
• Cognitive assessments/training to give you the tools you need to be successful in your home
  

Speech Therapy

Big Stone Therapies offers speech-language pathology services to help people of all ages restore, improve, or maintain communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.  We work to remove obstacles that stand between each patient and success by listening - really listening -  when patients have concerns and problems.

•  Swallowing assessment and training to reduce coughing, choking, and pneumonia risk.
•  Voice training to improve the volume and vocal quality.
